Last week Xero hosted the world’s most beautiful and innovative conference for cloud accounting leaders in the US, Canada, and the Americas where hundreds of Accountants, Bookkeepers and App Partners merged together for Xerocon. And we were there!

Four members of the Loft47 team and one Loft47 power-user customer made their way to Atlanta to play a part in showcasing the coolest cloud-based accounting solutions available.

Keynote Kickoff

Kicking off the conference, we heard from Keri Gohman, President, Xero Americas, in a very inspiring keynote that set a great tone for the conference.

Quoting Keri, “At Xero, we believe that getting it right for our customers means taking a ‘human technology’ approach where we aggressively push forward with technological innovation, while also working to help our customers and partners overcome the tensions that inevitably accompany periods of change.”

We agree! Not only is Xero a great supporter to their partners and the app-ecosystem, they are deeply devoted to helping accounting teams scale their businesses and adapt to industry influences. These opening remarks from Keri and further messaging throughout the conference, addressed how automation is changing the composition of the typical accounting practice. We heard great examples of how companies can reposition themselves and their role in the face of that change.

Breakout Sessions

There were a number of breakout sessions, that you might not typically associate with accounting, that attendees could catch. A couple of these included working with tech-based currencies, like blockchain and artificial intelligence tools for delivering client success.

We were so grateful to join these discussions with our session ” Nail your Niche“. Xero’s App Marketplace is a great resource to discover solutions to level-up in a specific industry and we discussed some real-life, tactical ways to address that through the lens of our market, Real Estate.

The People

We cannot say enough good things about the attendees and Xero staff that put Xerocon together!

This event created potential vital future relationships and opportunities for our business, as well as new friendships with like-minded exhibitors and fans of Xero.

The Xero staff were very helpful and knowledgeable — always going the extra mile to ensure exhibitors were exposed to the right client pool to suit their business needs. And they fed us well! ☕🥐🍑🍨🥂

Now that we are back in the office, fresh off our Xerocon-hangover, we’re even more inspired and incredibly motivated to assist Xero accounting partners to break into Real Estate!
